Job Title: Senior Payroll Administrator
Location: Remote (Canada; Prince Edward Island preferred)

We’re looking for a self-motivated Senior Payroll Administrator who is capable of using their experience to manage the challenges of our growing operation. Preferred qualities include a commitment to excellence, strong attention to detail, and drive to implement best-practice standards to ensure smooth and error-free payroll administration. The ideal candidate will have broad and deep experience as a payroll administrator on multiple payroll systems and has the flexibility to work on multiple projects at once.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure legislative, audit and policy compliance
• Coordinate and process payrolls and validate payroll register in a test environment
• Payroll coordination and validation of annual compensation processes including retro pay calculations, cross validation of salary changes in payroll system, and year-end processes
• Review and validate reconciliations and ad hoc calculations
• Provide guidance on various statutory matters
• Perform QA/regression testing on our proprietary payroll software to ensure that configured payroll calculations perform as specified and as expected by customers
• Ensure compliance, timeliness and accuracy of every payroll

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of Canadian payroll experience
• Payroll processing experience on multiple software systems (e.g. Ceridian Dayforce, ADP WorkforceNow, or other cloud applications)
• CPA certification/designation, formal payroll training
• Strong knowledge of provincial and federal legislation related to payroll
• Ability to establish payroll best processes with each client
• Good English communication skills (written/spoken); French an asset

Job Title: .NET Full Stack Developer

Location: Remote (Canada)

Job Title: Azure DevOps Administrator
Location: Summerside, PEI
Reports to: Director of Development

WorkLinks is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Azure DevOps Administrator to support their implementation of Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS) Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tooling/processes and environments. WorkLinks maintains a separate Microsoft SQL Server database and .NET website for each client. We are looking to automate our existing build, test and deployment processes. Well-qualified candidates must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate ability to coordinate efforts across functional areas.

Responsibilities:

• Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain both new and existing code, ranging from client-side development using Angular, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, to server-side code using C# and ASP.NET Webforms, WCF, .NET Core Web API, Windows services, and ADO.NET for data persistence and retrieval.
• Translate mock-ups and wireframes into functioning front-end code.
• Create, maintain, and run unit tests for both new and existing code, with a goal of delivering defect-free and well-tested code to QA.
• Write readable, extensible, testable code, while being mindful of performance requirements
• Write and maintain documentation for new and existing features.
• Rapid prototyping and presenting conceptual design and working prototypes to management.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues.
• Work with Business Analyst to analyze requirements.
• Collaborate on technical architecture and design.
• Keep up to date on best practices and new technologies.

Candidate Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of application development configuration management processes (repos/build/release)
• Advanced knowledge and troubleshooting skills for supporting multi-tiered architecture (i.e. client tier, an application tier, and a data tier)
• Intermediate PowerShell scripting capabilities
• Working knowledge of TFS/VSTS/Azure DevOps
• Knowledge of Windows Server administration and Active Directory (2012+)
• Working knowledge of XML, JSON, REST OData
• Working knowledge of the .Net framework and supporting technologies
• Working knowledge of SQL Server administration (SQL Server 2012+)
• Working knowledge and interaction of IIS administration (V 7+)
• Intermediate understanding of Network administration, Load Balancing, Firewall rules, and other technologies associated with managing production systems
